Hotels, retail and industry: four Leander development updates to watch

Over 700,000 square feet of development is under construction across the city, with new projects including Leander’s second hotel, retail centers and industrial spaces.

City leaders previewed major projects coming across town during a Sept. 15 Leander Chamber of Commerce event. Find updates on four of these projects below.

1. ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham

Project: The hotel developed by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is located across 183A Toll from the Northline development. After completion, ECHO Suites will be Leander’s second hotel located within city limits. 

• Location: 1154 Aven Wy, Leander

• Type: Hospitality

• Size: 51,259 square feet

2. Leander Tech Park

Project: Two buildings are currently under construction as part of the project’s first phase. The project sits on a 50-acre site near the border with Liberty Hill and Georgetown.

• Location: Southwest corner of Hwy. 29 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard

• Type: Flex industrial, research and development

• Size: 89,240 square feet (phase one)

3. Leander Union

Project: The 13.8-acre site includes 10 buildings with more than 40 suites. Current tenants include Northpoint Church and Westlake Dermatology.

• Location: 10880 E. Crystal Falls Parkway, Leander

• Type: Creative office, food and beverage

• Size: 154,217 square feet

  4. 29 Gateway

Project: While businesses like Hopdoddy and Aurora Medical Spa have already opened in this retail and restaurant center, more are on the way. Future tenants include Handel's Homemade Ice Cream, Crave Cookies and Sport Clips. 

• Location: 19389 Ronald Reagan Blvd., Leander

• Type: Commercial

• Size: 28,000 square feet
