A neurodiversity-affirming speech and occupational therapy clinic for patients age 21 and younger opened Aug. 12 in Leander.
Bright SpOT Pediatric Therapy offers a wide variety of services, including developing fine and gross motor skills, such as handwriting, tying shoe laces, jumping or catching a ball, the clinic’s lead therapist Claudia Gregg said.
Gregg said the clinic also helps children with emotional regulation and social skills.
She said other available services include working with children who are nonverbal or children who are verbal but need assistance with pronunciation and other skills.
