Project: The pavement improvement project will include a 2-inch mill and a 2 1/4-inch overlay on the road along with new striping and new signage. Along with these improvements, a metal beam guard fence will be added at the intersection of the shared driveway of The Auberge and the Montessori School.
Update: City officials announced in a social media post Aug. 2 that overnight work including mill and overlay work and permanent road striping was underway through Aug. 7, with work to be complete before the first day of school Aug. 12.

Oak Hill Parkway improvements
Project: Since 2022, the Texas Department of Transportation has been reconstructing Hwy. 290 in Oak Hill, transforming the existing four-lane, undivided roadway to a six-lane divided highway with new frontage roads and 14 miles of shared-use paths.
