Travis Askey appointed interim city manager effective Sept. 10

City Manager Frank Salvato announced his resignation Aug. 11 after nearly six years of serving the city of Bee Cave. His last day in office was Sept. 9.

In his resignation letter to Bee Cave Mayor Caroline Murphy and city staff, Salvato said he accepted a position as assistant city manager in Midland to be closer to his family.

On Aug. 26, Bee Cave City Council appointed Assistant City Manager Travis Askey as interim city manager effective Sept. 10. Council agreed to provide him with a 10 percent increase in salary—from $110,000 currently—during his tenure as interim city manager.
