Rollingwood is considering a new fence ordinance after getting complaints about front yard fences along Rollingwood Drive.
At its regular City Council meeting Feb. 15, Rollingwood City Council decided to continue a moratorium on front yard fences within city limits until March 30 after hearing from the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The moratorium, which was originally approved in October, was to end Feb. 16.
After looking at the city's fence ordinances, Rollingwood's Planning and Zoning Commission could not come to a conclusion on what the setback for a front yard fence should be or its height.
"I am happy with what [Planning and Zoning] has done and would propose moving forward with a moratorium and bring this back for a decision at our next meeting," Councilman Barry Bones said.
