Group also sponsors free dental care for community children
Local nonprofit organization Lake Travis Labor of Love, or LTlov, collected and donated school supplies as well as more than $2,700 to Lake Travis Elementary School and Lake Travis High School as part of its fifth annual back-to-school supplies drive.
The supplies, distributed in 67 bins, were valued at $4,800, LTlov President Michelle Zogas said.
The group donated 40 prepackaged boxes of grade-specific supplies as part of the drive, she said.
LTlov also sponsored Kids Free Dental Care Day on Aug. 20 at the Lakeway Dental Office, 2220 Lakeway Blvd., Ste. 200, Austin. Local dentists provided free dental care and oral health services to 61 needy children in the Lake Travis community.
