Churches help residents affected by wildfires

The storage sheds, called Sheds of Hope, will allow those who lost their homes a space to store items salvaged from the fire or tools and materials that will be used in rebuilding their homes.

Each of the 27 8-foot by 8-foot sheds cost approximately $750.

"The only thing [the survivors] have to give us is permission to go on their land and space for the shed," said Rick Lenz, the specialist for PCA's North American Disaster Response.

Lenz and a few others are travelling from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area to Spicewood each weekend in January until they have built all 27 sheds.
