New medical office building bound for Lakeway Medical Village

Developers Equity LLC and Equity Lakeway Investments LLC are slated to build a 42,000-square-foot, two-story medical office building on the Lakeway Medical Village site adjacent to Baylor Scott and White Medical-Lakeway just off RM 620.

“We’re a 30-year-old developer of medical office buildings in conjunction with hospitals,” said Lee Jackson, Equity Austin senior vice president.

The project, planned for 101 Medical Parkway, Lakeway, on a 2.8-acre lot previously listed for $2.5 million, will include Premier Family Physicians as its anchor tenant.

“This is a new site for Premier Family Physicians,” Jackson said of the office space. “It will be part of [the practice’s] expansion and growth.”

Although other tenants have committed to space in the project, he said he is not able to disclose their identities yet.

Construction is set to begin in January, with the facility’s first tenants expected to move into the building a year later, in January 2019, Jackson said.

Future building tenants may also include physician offices with various medical specialties, he said.
