The monthly rate for waste and recycling disposal for Lakeway residents has increase to $21, a change that will be reflected on July solid waste bills. The quarterly charge for Lakeway residents will total $63. Lakeway City Council approved a new solid waste collection contract with Progressive Waste Solutions during the March 20 meeting, which included a $3 increase over the previous $18 monthly rate for services. The city requested bids for the services in January. The rate increase for trash service is Lakeway’s first since 2013, according to a news release published by the city Tuesday afternoon.
