Five new, small businesses are bringing life to the corner of land on RM 620 and RM 2222, where the former Boat House Grill was located. Regard, a jewelry store, recently opened on the site along with World Kitchen food truck. Regard sells and repairs fine jewelry and watches. World Kitchen serves Asian and Cuban food. A refurbished event center is also now available for booking. Owner Eva Wiley said the center was an outdoor area that she had covered and is now a rentable space that holds 50 to 60 people. Juice House, also owned by Wiley, serves fresh, organic juice, salads, snacks and breakfast. Lady&Saint owner Brooke Haynes offers beauty services including haircuts and styling, coloring and extensions. A grand opening celebration complete with live music is planned for mid-January, but official dates have not yet been set.
