Canyon Ranch, a new wellness resort in Spicewood, will be open for guests beginning Oct. 22.
The overview
Canyon Ranch is a 600-acre wellness resort with 141 hotel rooms and 134 residential units.
The resort is all-inclusive, with each stay including dining at the two on-site restaurants, a pool and fitness center, access to the 40,000-square-foot spa and a variety of daily activities.
One of the on-site restaurants, Estella, will serve seasonal, Mexican-inspired food led by chef-in-residence Val M. Cantú.
Beyond spa services, the resort also offers personalized medicine for guests, including sports medicine services, alternative medicine, body composition screening and other exams and consultations.
The details
Canyon Ranch is also selling on-site homes ranging from 3,208 to 4,827 square feet and starting at $3.8 million, per the Canyon Ranch website.
Homeowners will have access to all Canyon Ranch resort facilities and programs with the homeowner membership.
Full buildout of the residential homes is expected to be completed in five to seven years, Canyon Ranch CEO Mark Rivers said.
What else
Canyon Ranch has two other resorts in Massachusetts and Arizona.
The Austin-area Hill Country was a “natural location” for the third resort due to the landscape and “continued emergence of the modern wellness industry,” Rivers said.
“We are a thoughtful and soulful company … and expect to become one of the preeminent visitor destinations in the state,” Rivers said. “We will be proud stewards of the Hill Country culture and reliable, responsible neighbors.”
