A new water treatment plant at 2101 Lauren Drive in Spicewood should be completed by the end of 2019, according to Aqua Texas, an investor-owned water and wastewater utility with operations throughout Central Texas. A press release from Aqua Texas states the Barton Creek Lakeside surface water treatment plant will produce up to 1 million gallons of drinking water per day but be capable of producing up to 1.5 million gallons per day.
