Kelsey-Seybold Clinic expands specialty care with opening of Lake Houston Campus

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic's Lake Houston Campus is now accepting patients, officials with the health care provider announced in a Sept. 30 news release.

Located next to Kelsey-Sebyold Clinic's existing Summer Creek Clinic, the new five-story Lake Houston Campus spans 135,000 square feet with space for up to 51 providers, per the release.

"Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is focused on meeting our patients where they are and making it easier for northeast Houston-area families to get the high-quality care they need, when they need it," said Dr. Azam Kundi, chairman and CEO of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, in a statement. "With our campus now open, we are proud to serve this growing community and are already caring for more patients, helping them achieve their health goals close to home."

The Summer Creek Clinic now houses primary care, while the Lake Houston Campus offers specialty care, said Ashley Meijer McConn, senior media relations specialist with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, via email.

The Lake Houston Campus offers comprehensive adult care, with specialties ranging from neurology and pulmonary medicine to sports medicine and speech-language pathology. Laboratory and X-ray services are available on-site.

"It's exciting to open our new Lake Houston Campus and begin caring for even more patients in this growing region," Kelsey-Seybold Clinic COO Kenneth Janis said in a statement. "By expanding access to specialty care and offering added conveniences all under one roof, we're bringing high-quality, compassionate care closer to home and work for families living in northeast Houston."

What's next

Per the release, the Lake Houston Campus will add providers in cardiology, dermatology, urology and otolaryngology, or ENT, in the future. Additionally, the Lake Houston Campus was designed with space for future expansion of medical services, including an ambulatory surgery center and cancer services.

Kelsey-Seybold officials also plan to add a CT, MRI and cardiovascular lab to the Lake Houston Campus, though specific timelines for these projects had not been announced as of press time.
