Lone Star College trustees approved more than $18.5 million in purchase agreement for computers and computer accessories to replace outdated equipment at two campuses and the college’s Office of Technology Services during the board’s March 6 meeting.
The details
Trustees approved three separate purchase agreements that will allow officials to purchase equipment as needed. The funds were distributed as follows :
- $18 million for the college’s Office of Technology Services over the next three years
- $300,000 for Lone Star College-Magnolia Center over the next year
- $210,000 for Lone Star College-North over the next year
According to the agreements, the funding will be used to acquire new computers and related accessories from either Houston-based network management firm Netsync Network Solutions or Apple.
