The city of Dallas’ charter, which outlines rules for how the city operates, is under review, a process that takes place every 10 years.
What’s happening?
A 15-member commission, appointed by City Council, is reviewing the document with plans to submit recommended changes to council.
Over the next seven months, the charter review commission will review the charter’s policy, and operational and technical provisions, according to a city news release. A schedule of the commission’s meetings, which are open to the public, is available on the city’s website.
