The city of Roanoke gave details about how to stay informed during the winter weather event this week.
What you need to know
City staff will be providing updates throughout the inclement weather. Comprehensive updates will be shared on the city government's social media pages and website twice daily around 5 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Mass messages will also be sent to those subscribed to Alert Roanoke, Roanoke’s emergency alert notification system.
