A number of Dallas-Fort Worth-area airports are expected to receive a total of nearly $355 million in funds from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.
Sen. John Cornyn announced April 15 that a total of 23 DFW airports would be the recipient of funds, including Fort Worth Alliance Airport, which will receive $157,000.
“As Texas reels from the economic destruction caused by the coronavirus outbreak, it’s important our airports have the resources they need to weather the storm,” Cornyn said in a statement.
The bulk of grant money from the CARES Act will be distributed to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field. The former will receive more than $299 million, and the latter will receive north of $53 million.
