Several schools in Denton, Keller and Northwest ISD will receive grants from Tanger Outlets through its TangerKids Grant Program to support programs at the districts, according to a news release.

Denton ISD will receive $1,750 for Wayne Stuart Ryan Elementary School to go toward its “Si Se Puede” program. Funds will be used for a bilingual library, according to the release.
Keller ISD will receive $1,300 for Basswood Elementary School to go toward its “Together We Thrive” program. The release states funds will be used for enriched learning experiences.
Grant amounts and recipients for Northwest ISD include:
- $825 for Medlin Middle School to go toward its “Soaring to New Adventures” program, which is a special education field trip initiative
- $1,000 for the Northwest ISD Education Foundation to go toward the “Fueling Futures: Snack Packs for Student Success” program, which provides snack packs for students in the district
“By listening closely to local schools and educators, we’re able to support projects that respond to real, on-the-ground needs,” Holly Conner, Tanger Fort Worth’s marketing director, said.
About the program
The TangerKids Grant Program opens annually for public and private schools from pre-K through 12th grade, according to the release.
Grant applications are accepted from August to October and recipients are notified and announced by December of the grant year, according to its website.
The locally awarded grants are part of more than $200,000 funded by 37 Tanger Outlets shopping centers in the U.S. and Canada, the release states. The TangerKids program has awarded grants since 1996, according to its website.
