After conducting two online polls of students, parents and teachers, the NISD Board of Trustees adopted district calendars for the 2020-21 school year and 2021-22 school year.
Both calendars received approval from the District Education Improvement Council, according to district officials.
The start date for the 2020-21 school year will be Aug. 20, and the last day of school will be May 28, 2021. The 2021-22 school year will begin Aug. 18, 2021, and end May 26, 2022.
The two calendars feature similar Thanksgiving break, Christmas break and spring break holidays.
