Te’jun Texas Cajun updates grand opening celebration to October

A new Texas-based seafood restaurant is set to host its grand opening in the fall.

The details

A spokesperson for Te’jun Texas Cajun said the restaurant will have a soft opening in the first or second week of August. Restaurant officials announced online that an official celebration for the opening will be in October.

Te’jun offers “fresh and delicious Cajun cuisine conveniently and more affordably,” the spokesperson said. The restaurant will have dine-in, drive-through and pick-up options for its customers.

The Keller location has a pier over the Bourland Road pond where people can feed the fish and a kids outdoor play area.

The backstory

The location for Te’jun Texas Cajun was first approved by Keller City Council in 2023, according to previous Community Impact reporting. Te’jun owners Joe and Tammy Reid broke ground for the restaurant in 2024.

City officials moved up dredging work for the pond so the restaurant could open this summer, according to previous reporting.
