Kimiya Japanese Cuisine is closer to opening in Roanoke.
A May 30 Facebook post from the restaurant's page stated that it will open in June and to stay tuned for a grand opening, though a specific date was not announced.
The restaurant will offer sushi, fresh sashimi, ramen, classic tempura, teriyaki and chef-inspired Japanese dishes, according to its website.
The business' Facebook page also mentioned the restaurant will have a life-sized Optimus Prime statue.
