In a live address from her home April 20, Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price revealed she had been in close contact with an individual who tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Price said she is has no symptoms but as a precaution will be tested April 21. She said she has begun tracking her temperature multiple times per day.
“Fortunately, my husband and I have not been many places,” Price said. “Our footprint is very small. If you know you have been exposed, stay home and track your symptoms so you know you are not exposing other people. That is exactly what I am doing.”
Price said she will not be releasing details on the individual from whom she may have contracted the virus. She assured residents that she was practicing best safety practices, including social distancing, wearing a face mask, washing her hands and disinfecting surfaces.
