Tarrant County’s criminal district attorney office is warning local voters about postcards being distributed requiring them to confirm if their vote in the recent Fort Worth May 1 election was counted.
According to a release, these postcards did not come from Tarrant County, Tarrant County Elections Office, the county Republican or Democratic parties, or any known elected official or campaign in Tarrant County.
Sharen Wilson, criminal district attorney for Tarrant County, said all information shared with a third party is at the voter’s own risk, and Tarrant County has no control over it.
“Be careful. Be cautious about giving someone you don’t know your name, address, email or any other information,” Wilson said in a release. “You don’t know what they will do with your information.”
