The Little Gym bringing movement-based learning to Roanoke this summer

Construction of The Little Gym is underway at 600 Byron Nelson Blvd., Ste. 600, in Roanoke.

Vision Commercial Real Estate announced the lease with owner Shane Campbell brings the shopping center to 100% capacity. The Little Gym, a national chain, will occupy 3,190 square feet with a planned opening of July 1.

The children’s gym will offer gymnastics, kids dance, sports skills, karate and parent/child classes.

According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the remodel of the existing store front includes the demolition of walls, floors and ceiling, with an estimated cost of $250,000.

The Little Gym is for physical development of children ages 4 months to 12 years, by using movement-based learning and imaginative play to help build the confidence and skills needed at each stage of childhood, according to the website.

The first The Little Gym opened in Bellevue, Washington, in 1976 and today has more than 300 location across the country.
