After 19 years in business in Keller, DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks has a new owner. John Alexandrides sold his franchise to Daniel Davis, who operates a location in San Angelo.
The two started talking at a meeting with franchise owners and Alexandrides expressed interest in selling. The transaction happened in July and since then, Davis has been upgrading the business.
What happened
Changes to the dining area include a new menu board, a new fountain machine for beverages, a new salad bar and some painting touch-ups, Davis said. The Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 10 for the new ownership group.
In addition, he applied for a license from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission to sell beer. Davis said Oct. 13 that the city and county had signed off on the addition to the menu. One of the popular orders in San Angelo is delivering pizza with a six pack of beer.
