Merge Play offers event space with drinks, games, music in Roanoke

Merge Play in Roanoke offers an event space for families and friends to connect, General Manager and Property Owner Johnny Critz said.

The event space has a bar, musical instruments, live karaoke, board games and a pool table. The bar includes sodas, cream sodas, mocktails and iced coffees, according to Merge’s website.

The space can be rented online and Merge will also have occasional events for the community, Critz said. This is an expansion of Merge Work, the event space next door, which has a coworking event space for company gatherings, Critz said.

“Our goal with both of [these spaces] is very community-driven and bringing people together,” he said. “We want to merge all the different communities together into one big group. We’re very passionate about getting people in person again.”
