All-Star Orthopaedics, AOA Orthopedic Specialists, North Texas Orthopedics & Spine Center, Orthopedic Associates and OrthoTexas Orthopedic & Sports Medicine announced plans to unite and operate collectively as OrthoTexas beginning in November.
The transition will create an integrated orthopedic and spine organization spanning more than 70 physicians and 22 locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth region, according to a news release.
Physician specialties will include orthopedics, spine, sports medicine, joint replacement, hand and upper extremity, foot and ankle, pain management, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. OrthoTexas will also offer on-site physical therapy, X-ray and MRI at many of its locations, the news release added.
The five entities are partners with United Musculoskeletal Partners.
Dr. Manuj Singhal, vice chairman of OrthoTexas and partner at AOA Orthopedic Specialists, said the merger is a new chapter in musculoskeletal care in North Texas. In a news release, he said the past model of independent entities led to fragmented care.

All-Star Orthopaedics opened in 1997 and partners with Carroll ISD and the Alliance Rugby club, according to its website. The business has locations in Fort Worth, Southlake, Flower Mound and Irving.
AOA Orthopedic Specialists has offices in DeSoto, Waxahachie, Mansfield, Midlothian, Arlington and Irving. It was founded by Dr. Jay Pond in 1996, according to its website.
North Texas Orthopedics & Spine Center opened in 1990 and its physicians are team doctors for Byron Nelson High School, Northwest High School and V.R. Eaton High School in Northwest ISD, Grapevine High School and Colleyville Heritage High School in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, and Keller High School.
OrthoTexas has locations in Carrollton, Frisco, Plano and Denton. It was founded in 2011, according to its website.
Orthopedic Associates is the oldest of the five, opening in 1976, according to its website. The business has locations in Flower Mound and Northlake.
