Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office to host Oct. 19 hiring event

The hiring event comes after Fort Bend County commissioners approved nearly $8.67 million in raises for positions within the sheriff's office on Sept. 24.

The raises range from 4% to 53% with an average of 22.2% higher than last year’s pay, Director of Human Resources Nicole Ledet said. Additionally, the raises include bringing starting salaries up to the market rate.

"This hiring event will help ensure we have the personnel needed to continue our efforts to protect and serve."
