1.Greenbusch Road Widening

Greenbusch Road will be widened over a 1.3-mile distance between Gaston Road and Westheimer Parkway. The existing two-lane asphalt road will be replaced with a four-lane concrete boulevard with underground storm drains on one side. 2. Gaston Road Widening

Gaston Road will be widened over a 1.7-mile distance between Greenbusch and Katy Flewellen roads. The existing two-lane asphalt road will be replaced with a four-lane concrete boulevard with underground storm drains on one side. Timeline: second quarter 2017-second quarter 2018 Cost: $7.9 million Funding sources: Fort Bend County

3. Morton Road improvements

A 1-mile section of Morton Road between Katy Hockley Cut Off Road and Avenue D in the city of Katy will be widened from two to four lanes. Part of the project consists of replacing existing above-ground drainage ditches with curbs and gutters. City Administrator Byron Hebert said the project’s main purpose is to help with traffic as well as to relieve flooding. 4. Spring Green Roundabout

A four-legged roundabout will be constructed connecting the two existing segments of Spring Green Boulevard as well as Cinco Trace Drive and Katy Flewellen Road. In addition to constructing the two-lane, one-way roundabout, Cinco Trace Drive will be extended 144 feet from its current endpoint to the roundabout. Katy Flewellen Road will be connected from its current endpoint 450 feet to the roundabout. The existing north and south segments of Spring Green Boulevard will be extended a total of 1,380 feet from their current endpoints to the roundabout. Crossover Road relocation

A two-lane asphalt segment of Crossover Road starting at the site of the new Spring Green Roundabout and extending west for 1,344 feet will be destroyed. That segment of Crossover Road will be rebuilt several hundred yards to the north of the original road. The new segment starts at the western point in a northeast direction 1,100 feet and connecting with the Spring Green Boulevard segment north of the planned Spring Green Roundabout. The new segment of Crossover Road will be four lanes of concrete paved roadway. The land that is vacated by the road’s destruction will be returned to the adjacent landowners. The original segment of Crossover Road will remain open during the re-alignment. Crossover Road widening

The two-lane, asphalt segment of Crossover Road starting at FM 1463 and extending east for 3,100 feet will be widened to four lanes of concrete paved thoroughfare with underground storm drains on one side of the road. The widened segment of the road will connect with the relocated 1,100-foot segment of the road. The entire segment of roadway will be joined together and connect to Spring Green Boulevard. 5. Westpark Tollway/FM 1093 widening

Phase 1 FM 1093 will become two-lane frontage roads from the Grand Parkway to FM 1463. The Westpark Tollway is being extended 2.3 miles west from its endpoint and will be four lanes, two in each direction.
