1. Porter Road widening

Project: The project will widen Porter Road from two lanes to four lanes between Morton Ranch Road and Clay Road. The project will also add underground storm sewers.

Update: Construction is ongoing and on track to be completed by April 2027.

• Timeline: June 2026-April 2027

• Cost: $4.5 million (construction)

• Funding source: Harris County Precinct 4

2. Katy Hockley Cut Off Road and Heritage Drive traffic signal

Project: The project will add a traffic signal at the intersection of Katy Hockley Cut Off Road and Heritage Drive.

Update: At a Sept. 28 meeting, Katy City Council approved a construction contract with Creacom, Inc.

• Timeline: Operational in June 2027

• Cost: $349,130

• Funding source: Katy Development Authority

3. Greenbusch Road reconstruction

Project: The project will reconstruct Greenbusch Road between Gaston Road and Westheimer Parkway and add left-turn lanes at all public road intersections.

Update: The CenterPoint gas line conflict has been resolved, and the contractor is on-site again.

• Timeline: March 2022-July 2027

• Cost: $8.4 million

• Funding source: Fort Bend County mobility bond
