Katy residents are lucky to have a plethora of events to attend and enjoy on St. Patrick’s Day. Whether it is a movie with family, a cold glass of green beer or a group bike ride, Katy has something for everyone this Saturday. Here are eight area events to consider this weekend:

1. Cinco Ranch Food Truck Friday and Movie-March
Cinco Ranch by Newland Communities hosts this family-friendly event in Katy. Nonresidents are welcome to attend the event that will feature 13 food trucks serving up a variety of cuisine from pizza and burgers to Greek and seafood. This month’s movie is "Despicable Me 3." 2. "Magic: The Gathering" drafts at Fun Stuff Comics and Cards
The newly opened comic and game store will host a standard draft and Masters 25 tournament this weekend for players of the collectible card game. 3. Adrenaline performs at EinStein’s Pub

Saturday - St. Patrick’s Day
4. Katy Market Day
Start the holiday out with some shopping at vendor booths in downtown Katy. Each month on the Third Saturday, downtown Katy comes alive with vendors and shoppers. 5. St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Mo’s Irish Pub-Katy
Mo’s starts out the day the Irish way with a traditional Irish breakfast supplemented by a few American classics. Throughout the day, enjoy a green beer while watching live music, Irish dancers and bag pipers. 6. Crafts and Crawfish at Cane Island
The Real Craftwives of Katy and Cane Island host this event to celebrate mudbug season and a give Katy-area residents a chance to shop for homemade crafts. The craft show will feature goods from more than 60 local vendors, selling clothing and accessories. The crawfish feed will include cold beer. 7. Katy Community Advocates Blood Drive
Donate blood and save a life at the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. The clinic will be accepting donations of throughout the day to help those in need of transfusions. 8. Katy Cycling Club recovery ride
The biking network's members meet at Alexander Elementary School each Sunday for a less intense ride to let their bodies recuperate from training throughout the week.
