The weather looks a bit gloomy this weekend, but that’s no reason to stay at home. Step out for some live music, seafood, a chance to learn about coding and more. Here are six Katy area events we think our readers will enjoy: Friday
1. Blaggards at Mo's Irish Pub—Katy
Grab a pint and rock out to what the band calls “stout Irish rock” music at the local pub located on the southeast corner of the intersection of I-10 and 99. The band plays traditional Irish songs with a rock twist, and doesn’t leave the fiddle behind. 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Free. 23511 I-10, Katy. 281-665-3535. http://mosirishpub.com/katy/band-schedule
