The Katy ISD Board of Trustees, in a special two-part meeting May 19, swore in three recently elected candidates before reconvening with the new board to select a new president and officers.
After certifying the vote from the May 10 election, the three successful candidates for position 3, 4, and 5, Ashley Vann, Courtney Doyle and Henry Dibrell respectively, took the oath of office.
With its new lineup, the board then held its officer elections. Bryan Michalsky was voted board president for the 2014-2015 school year, replacing Rebecca Fox, who served for two years. Fox was voted into the position of secretary. Henry Dibrell, who has been on the board since 2011 was selected as vice president. Doyle, a new member, will serve as Sergeant-at-Arms; Joe Adams and Ashley Vann will not carry a special position.
All of the nominations and votes were unanimous.
