When Brent Patrick, his wife, Shawn Patrick, and business partner Josh Gilbert opened Elaine Everett's Lighting in July, they thought they would start their business slowly before possibly expanding in a few years. Those plans have changed, Shawn Patrick said.
The store is a showroom of light fixtures, ceiling fans and lamps. It also offers hardware such as drawer and cabinet pulls, faucets, showerheads, tubs and other home decor.
"We have a lot of people who wander in who are building a house and are trying to pick every light in their home, and that's forced us to grow faster," Shawn Patrick said.
