Photo by Carrie ThorntonFalls at Green Meadows—the residential development under construction in the former location of Green Meadows Golf Course—is scheduled to open its first section to home builders by late April, according to the Friendswood Development Company.
The community will eventually cover about 242 acres, some of which include the golf course, said Tim Fitzpatrick, community development manager for the company. Located within the City of Katy at Avenue D and Franz Road, Falls at Green Meadows can accommodate more than 460 homesites ranging from 60–70 feet wide.
Lakes, green space and a recreation complex are also planned for the area.
"Initially, Lennar Homes and Meritage Homes will be building in the community on 70-foot-wide lots," Fitzpatrick said. "We anticipate that Village Builders and another builder—to be determined—will join the building program in 2014 as development progresses."
