Annual Pumpkin Patch
Visiting Blessington Farms between September and November gets guests access to its annual pumpkin patch, where they can explore unique varieties of pumpkins and over 25 photo ops throughout the grounds. The pumpkin patch is an activity specific for fall, but there are more than 20 other activities included in admission—such as the chicken hut, goat yard, hay palace and rat races.

The award-winning Gracias Choir will perform classical music, with the hopes of inspiring listeners to meditate on the true meaning of Christmas at this musical show at the newly established Fort Bend Epicenter. The show is divided into three acts, which are characterized by an opera, musical, orchestra and choir performance.

Katy Christian Ministries will put on its second annual kids fishing tournament, where children 17 years old and younger can participate. Activities at the event include archery, fishing classes, lunch and lawn games. Italian ice will also be available to keep cool. Proceeds will benefit KCM’s food pantry, social services, crisis center and counseling services.
The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce will host officials from area health care systems—such as Houston Methodist West Hospital, Memorial Hermann Katy, MD Anderson West Houston and Rapid Care Emergency Room—as they divulge on the state of health care. Officials will highlight ongoing and future projects and current trends in the medical system.

To commemorate the area’s history and longstanding cultural and economic values, the city of Katy will host the annual Katy Rice Harvest Festival, a family event with 175 vendors, live international music, food trucks, a beer garden, and contests and a carnival. This event is in partnership with Rotary Club of Katy, and 100% of festival proceeds will be donated to local scholarships, nonprofits and charities.

On weekends between Oct. 6-29, visit Dewberry Farm for its spooky Boorific Nights. On these nights, its corn maze gets scary, and the farm is alight with the glow of hundreds of jack-o-lanterns. Life-sized lanterns of horror characters decorate the grounds, while axe-throwing with Jason from Camp Crystal Lakes and a "Stranger Things" set photo op are just two of the featured activities.
