Why did you choose to run for Katy City Council?
I’m running because I care deeply about Katy’s future and want responsible growth that protects residents’ quality of life. Our city is changing quickly, and people want leadership that listens and plans. I want to help ensure Katy stays safe, prepared and responsive for current residents and future generations.
What is your top priority if elected to represent the citizens of Katy?
My top priority is strengthening Katy’s infrastructure, especially water systems and flood preparedness. Residents depend on reliable services during both droughts and heavy storms. Planning, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring emergency readiness will help protect homes, businesses and public safety altogether.
What do you think is the most pressing issue for local residents, and what will you do to address it?
The most pressing issue is managing growth while maintaining infrastructure. Traffic, drainage and public services must keep pace with development. I support careful planning, infrastructure investment and coordination with regional partners, including Harris, Fort Bend and Waller counties, to ensure Katy grows responsibly without overwhelming neighborhoods or city services.
What would you do to continue prioritizing mobility in Katy?
Mobility requires long-term planning and regional cooperation. I support targeted improvements such as safer lighting, sidewalks and traffic management. Working with partners like TxDOT and the Houston-Galveston Area Council will help address congestion while improving safety and connectivity for residents commuting through Katy.
How do you plan to help grow the city’s economic development?
Small businesses drive Katy’s economy. I support modernizing the permitting process so businesses can apply online, track progress and receive clear timelines. A transparent and efficient system helps entrepreneurs open faster, create jobs and strengthen Katy’s local economy.

Why did you choose to run for Katy City Council?
I am running for City Council to be an advocate and a voice for all of the residents within the City of Katy. I believe my 34-year law enforcement career, my leadership capabilities and my experience serving on city boards and advisory groups will help me do this.
What is your top priority if elected to represent the citizens of Katy?
My top priority, if elected, will be to work collaboratively with council, city staff, and most importantly, the residents of Katy to improve the overall quality of life in the city. This would include working on public safety, aging infrastructure, responsible growth, resource management, while maintaining our historical pride.
What do you think is the most pressing issue for local residents, and what will you do to address it?
The most pressing issue for residents is the explosive growth within the city. This has a negative effect on aging infrastructure, primarily our roadways. I’ll work collaboratively with council and other stakeholders to develop a responsible plan to encourage “drive-through” traffic to take other viable routes outside the city.
What would you do to continue prioritizing mobility in Katy?
The City of Katy receives METRO funding as part of a Mobility Program agreement. These funds are used on various mobility projects to reduce congestion as the city grows. I’ll work with council, staff and other departments to ensure these funds are accurately received, and projects are scheduled.
How do you plan to help grow the city’s economic development?
With many large companies relocating to the area, I’ll work with the city to create relationships with these organizations. I would support short-term tax incentives to draw business into the large commercial and industrial areas located along I-10, thereby protecting our residential areas from additional traffic and infrastructure issues.
