Why are you running for Waller County judge?

I am running for county because I care deeply about Waller County and the people that are here. We must start improving infrastructure to keep our county safe.

What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?

I have been a self-employed general contractor for more than 20 years. I have hands-on experience with budgeting and construction and the needs of our county. I am passionate about making the right decisions to protect our taxpayers.

If elected, what will be your top priorities?

My top priority will be looking into the budget to improve the roads, drainage, public safety, and ensuring that tax dollars are spent wisely while keeping the tax burden low on our residents.

How do you plan to continue preparing for population growth?

We must begin with developers to ensure all the infrastructure needs are meet before projects are begun. We must work with the emergency service and school districts to ensure all needs will be met.

How do you plan to help grow economic development in the county?

We must make good decisions on policies that protect our county we live in today. I will support policies that make sense, ones that help the county grow but ones that also protect the landowners. We need businesses that support our residents, bringing high quality jobs, while maintaining our roots.

Why are you running for Waller County judge?

Waller County is growing fast. I’m running to protect our rural character while delivering roads, public safety, and transparent, efficient county services. I want responsible growth, strong emergency readiness and budgets that respect taxpayers so families and businesses can thrive.

What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?

I understand the county judge’s job: lead Commissioners Court, manage budgets, and coordinate emergency response. I bring proven leadership, a focus on measurable results, and experience working with residents, cities, and partners to solve problems and deliver projects on time and within budget.

My top priorities: 1) Fiscal discipline and tax relief. 2) Safer communities and stronger emergency management. 3) Better roads, drainage, and infrastructure planning. 4) Faster, customer-friendly permitting and transparent communication so citizens know what’s happening and why.

What should the county's budgeting priorities be?

Budget first for core services: law enforcement, courts, EMS support and emergency readiness. Next, invest in roads, drainage, and maintenance to avoid costly repairs. Keep healthy reserves, pursue grants and demand performance metrics so every dollar is tracked and justified.

How do you plan to continue preparing for population growth?

Use a data-driven growth plan: update mobility and drainage models, coordinate with cities on development standards and align utilities and transportation capacity before approvals. Prioritize intersections, evacuation routes and flood mitigation. Promote smart land planning that balances growth with quality of life.

How do you plan to help grow economic development in the county?

Create a pro-business, pro-family climate: streamline permitting, expand infrastructure, and partner with schools, community colleges, and employers on workforce training. Recruit high-wage, low-impact industries, support agriculture and small businesses and invest in broadband so jobs grow without overburdening taxpayers.
