May 2019 election: Here are the candidates for Katy-area races

Now that the deadline to file for candidacy for the May 4 election has passed, residents can start getting more familiar with the names that will be on the ballot. In Katy ISD, three people have filed for two board of trustees positions. In Katy City Council, five people have filed for three positions. In Fulshear City Council, four people have filed for four positions. Here is who will be on the ballot for KISD elections: Position 1:

• Sean Dolan
• Rebecca Fox
• Donald T. "Duke" Keller, Jr.

Position 2:

• Lance Redmon

Here is who will be on the ballot for Katy City Council: Mayor:

• Chuck Brawner (incumbent)
• Bill Hastings

Ward A:

• Frank Carroll (incumbent)

Ward B:

• Steve Pierson
• Jenifer Jordan Stockdick

Here is who will be on the ballot for Fulshear City Council: District 1:

• Kevin White

District 4:

• Joel Patterson

District 5:

• Kaye Kahlich

At large:

• Kent Pool

  The last day to register to vote or make a change of address is April 4. Early in-person voting runs from April 22-30. The election will be held May 4.
