A project to widen Holderrieth Road in Tomball is about 75% complete, Harris County Precinct 3 officials confirmed April 30.

Holderrieth Road is being widened from Hwy. 249 to about 900 feet west of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road in Tomball, according to Precinct 3 officials. The project entails widening the road from two to four lanes with a storm sewer; a five-foot-wide sidewalk along the north side of Hwy. 249 to west of the BNSF railroad; and a traffic signal at the intersection with South Cherry Street.
Funded by Precinct 3 and the Texas General Land Office, the project is expected to cost around $31.4 million, according to Precinct 3 officials.
