Editor's note: This closure previously scheduled for June 17-20 has been canceled, according to the Harris County Toll Road Authority.

Drivers in the Tomball area can expect a major closure of a portion of the Tomball Tollway—the tolled lanes of Hwy. 249—and the Grand Parkway beginning June 17 at 9 p.m., according to the Harris County Toll Road Authority.

HCTRA previously announced June 5 that the main lanes closure would take place from June 10-13. However, the closure has been rescheduled to 9 p.m. June 17 to 5 a.m. June 20, the HCTRA announced June 7.

The weekend closure includes northbound and southbound main lanes of the Tomball Tollway between Boudreaux Road and the Grand Parkway, and eastbound lanes of the Grand Parkway between the Rocky Road exit ramp and the Boudreaux Road exit. In addition, the northbound entrance ramp at Northpointe Boulevard to the Tomball Tollway will be closed, according to the HCTRA.

This follows a permanent closure of the southbound Boudreaux Road entrance ramp on the Tomball Tollway, which was in effect June 3, the HCTRA previously announced.

Drivers on the Tomball Tollway can detour to the frontage road at the Boudreaux Road exit and can re-enter the northbound lanes using the Grand Parkway entrance ramp. Southbound drivers on the Tomball Tollway can detour at the Grand Parkway exit and re-enter via the Northpointe entrance, according to the HCTRA.

On the Grand Parkway main lanes, eastbound drivers can detour to the frontage road at Rocky Road, turn right onto Rocky Road and turn left at Boudreaux Road to continue eastbound on the frontage road for the Grand Parkway. Drivers can re-enter the main lanes at the Boudreaux Road entrance ramp, according to the HCTRA.

The HCTRA is adding four direct connectors between the Grand Parkway and the Tomball Tollway, a project set to wrap up this summer, according to previous reporting.
