Harris County Precinct 4 is working on a project to widen Spring Cypress Road to a six-lane concrete boulevard section between Hwy. 249 and 800 feet east of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road in Tomball. This project falls within Precinct 4’s Congestion Mitigation Air Quality joint participation project with the Texas Department of Transportation, said Pamela Rocchi, the director of Precinct 4’s capital improvement projects division. While the entirety of the CMAQ project will not be completed until March 2022, Rocchi said construction on this portion of Spring Cypress Road will be complete in February.
