During its June 2 meeting, Tomball City Council approved a $38,500 contract with Topwater Construction Services, LLC for repairs to a drainage area along Zion Road.

What we know

According to the agenda, the drainage repairs aim to improve the water flow along Zion Road nearest Polaris Boulevard and Wickford Drive. The repairs include regrading, replacement of drain exits, resodding and soil compaction. The expense was included in the city's fiscal year 2024-25 budget, according to the agenda.

The scope of work includes approximately 11,000 square feet along Zion Road, and the work area will be between a brick fence and sidewalk, about three feet towards the ditch from the sidewalk, per the agenda.


The improvements are estimated to take seven days, depending on the weather. No drainage or irrigation work will be done, according to the documents.
