Frontier Waste Solutions will begin its contract, effective Oct. 1, as the new trash, recycling, and bulk and brush removal company for Tomball, according to the city’s website.

The details

The search for a new competitive proposal for a city-wide solid waste and recycling provider began in January, according to the city website. Green For Life will remain the service provider until Sept. 30.

Starting Sept. 2, residents will receive new poly carts and/or recycling bins from Frontier Waste Solutions. Previous carts and bins from GFL and other entities will not be picked up, according to the website.

Residents will see an increase in their utility bills starting in November, according to the website.

According to a presentation by city staff during an Aug. 19 council meeting, the total estimated annual utility cost for residents in fiscal year 2024-25 is $2,113. The estimated cost for FY 2023-24 was $1,950.
