The National Weather Service has issued severe weather warnings for the Greater Houston area, including a tornado warning in Pearland and Sugar Land until 9:15 a.m.

Local colleges have not yet announced any closures or cancellations.Today's storms will be intense, and potentially violent with tornadoes, but they should clear the area fairly quickly.
