In a nutshell
After reviewing 46 grant applications, the foundation’s Grant Committee approved funding for 14 creative projects, according to the news release. Some of the projects funded for 2025 include:
- $573 for a Chompsaw at Nichols Sawmill Elementary
- $10,000 for updated audio-video program at Magnolia High School
- $2,110 for a Culture Hallway at Magnolia Intermediate School
- $1,300 for the creation of a Crochet Club at Audubon Elementary School
- $4,734 DNA Discovery Lab at Magnolia High School
- $1,546 for Algebra Extravaganza at Magnolia West High School
“These grants are a vital part of our mission to provide ‘tools for learning’ and enrich programs that go beyond the school district’s standard budget,” MEF President Becca Henry said via news release. “We are incredibly grateful to support these dedicated teachers and their innovative ideas, which are at the heart of the Foundation’s work. It’s an honor to help bring these creative initiatives to life.”
