A variety of projects are underway in Magnolia ISD, including the construction of new schools. The projects listed below are all part of MISD's $228 million bond package that was passed in 2022.
Audubon Elementary
Project: The new school will serve up to 900 students in pre-K through fourth grade.
Update: The school welcomed its first students on Aug. 8, said Denise Meyers, MISD’s executive director of communications and public relations, on Aug. 5.

Project: The new school will serve up to 1,200 students in fifth and sixth grade.
Update: The project’s construction is ahead of schedule, Meyers said Aug. 5.

- Timeline: June 2023-January 2025
Project: The new school will serve up to 1,200 students in seventh and eighth grade.
Update: The project is set to be completed on schedule, Meyers said Aug. 5.

- Timeline: August 2023-May 2025
Project: The high school will feature a new building for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning program.
Update: The exterior of the project is almost complete, and a construction crew will be working on the interior this fall, Meyers said Aug. 5.

- Timeline: June 2024-January 2025
Project: The high school will feature a new building to house the health sciences program.
Update: The project’s exterior work is set to be completed by Aug. 16, while the interior work will be done during the school’s fall semester, Meyers said.
