Located inside Ly’s brother's shopping center in Magnolia, the business is the brainchild of a Houston foodie and her husband, a former chef and home builder.
What's special about it?
Ly said his wife Zheng is the mastermind behind the business concept, who chose to combine several Korean snacks into one business, including mochi donuts, boba drinks, Korean corn dogs and ice cream.
“My wife is a foodie, and she loves to eat all over the world, and she likes to travel, and so she had all these ideas,” Ly said.
The business recipes were crafted by the pair through trial and error, blending a variety of cultural snacks including Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese snacks.
With Ly’s background in home building and Zheng’s creativity, the two created the business from scratch within two months. Since the opening, Mochi Mochi Chillin has added more snacks and flavors to its menu.
Operated by a staff consisting of high school and college students, Mochi Mochi Chillin boasts snacks created by its owners with the help of its staff, who bring new ideas to the table.

Mochi Mochi Chillin is known for its in-house mochi donuts, a rice-based delicacy, crispy on the outside and creamy inside, as well as its Korean corn dog, the eatery's bestseller by far, Ly said.
With a variety of corn dogs to choose from, customers can customize their corn dog with their own filling, including cheese, beef frank or a combination of the two.

The eatery also offers Taiwanese popcorn chicken, made with halal chicken lightly breaded and seasoned with a special blend of spices.
A new addition to the menu that has become a staple at the restaurant includes Dubai chocolate, Ly said. To wash down the Asian-inspired snacks, drinks offered include fruit teas, boba teas and coffee.
