Chef Christin Morse celebrated the opening of Manna Bread from Heaven's new bistro location at 306 Commerce St., Tomball, on Dec. 23. The artisan bakery was previously located in the Northpointe area since 2017 and has expanded at its new Tomball home to include a sit-down cafe.
Morse said Manna is offering an initial menu evolving daily to gauge customers' preferences and include international flavors. Customer favorites thus far have been from-scratch bread bowls with soup, grilled sandwiches on sourdough bread, and handwiches—toasted bread wrapped around meats and cheeses, Morse said in a phone interview Jan. 5. The eatery also offers full espresso and drink options, including fresh lemonade and orange juice as well as sweet tea to be added soon, she said.
Patrons can also choose fresh, from-scratch pastries at the bistro's pastry bar and enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and work areas. A conference area is available to rent hourly for $10 per hour, which has been popular with the community, Morse said. Outdoor seating—including a pergola and table-side s'mores—is also in the works on the property.
Morse said Manna's bistro is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday with plans to open earlier daily in the coming weeks as well as open for weekend dinners in late January. 832-843-3999
