The barbecue eatery originally began as a chocolatier business and still offers a selection of chocolate bars made with cacao beans roasted and ground in-house as well as  a selection of handmade chocolate truffles in a variety of rotating flavors, such as champagne and strawberries, tres leches, pecan praline and maple coconut. In addition to its barbecue and chocolate selections, Tejas also features housemade desserts, including a carrot souffle and chocolate bread pudding.
